چکیده

A cherry tomato is a small-sized variety known for its round shape and sweet flavor. Therefore, at the Department of Horticulture Naini Agricultural Institute, Sam Higginbottom University Agriculture Technology Sciences, Prayagraj, Uttar Pradesh, an investigation titled "Effect Plant Growth Regulators on Cherry Tomato" was conducted during Rabi-2022-23 season to assess impact plant growth regulators growth, quality, yield Pusa 1 tomatoes, as well analyze economic aspects different treatments. Ten treatments were employed, including control with concentrations (GA3 Auxin) Kinetin. The study found that using had significantly positive effect tomatoes all traits. Among tested, T3(GA3 @ 75 ppm) showed most favourable results in terms height, number primary branches, early flowering maturing. T3 also demonstrated superior performance fruit weight, maximum fruits per plant, plant.

Genome-Wide Association Mapping in Tomato (Solanum lycopersicum) Is Possible Using Genome Admixture of Solanum lycopersicum var. cerasiforme

Genome-wide association mapping is an efficient way to identify quantitative trait loci controlling the variation of phenotypes, but the approach suffers severe limitations when one is studying inbred crops like cultivated tomato (Solanum lycopersicum). Such crops exhibit low rates of molecular polymorphism and high linkage disequilibrium, which reduces mapping resolution. The cherry type tomat...

Variation Revealed by SNP Genotyping and Morphology Provides Insight into the Origin of the Tomato

Tomato, Solanum lycopersicum, is divided into two widely distributed varieties: the cultivated S. lycopersicum var. lycopersicum, and the weedy S. lycopersicum var. cerasiforme. Solanum pimpinellifolium is the most closely related wild species of tomato. The roles of S. pimpinellifolium and S. l. cerasiforme during the domestication of tomato are still under debate. Some authors consider S. l. c...

The effects of Nematode Infection and MI-Mediated Resistance in Tomato (Solanum Lycopersicum) on Plant Fitness

The Mi gene in tomato (Solanum lycopersicum) is a single, dominant resistance (R) gene that confers resistance against several species of insects and root-knot nematodes. This study examined the impact of root-knot nematode infestation and the plant growth and reproduction of near-isogenic tomato cultivars with and without Mi. The objectives of this experiment were to examine the potential fitn...
